Efecte gains momentum in Central Europe: Swiss travel organization Hotelplan Group as the newest customer

Efecte, the Finnish provider of cloud-based Service Management softwarehas won the Swiss travel organization Hotelplan Group as a new customer. With EfecteHotelplan Group aims to improve IT support for the employees of the entire group of companies, to accelerate internal processes, and to continuously measure the quality of its services. Hotelplan Group will replace its existing IT Service Management solution, Microsoft System Center Service Managerwith Efecte's Enterprise Service Management platformThe associated project is scheduled to start in September 2019 and be completed by the end of the year. Once implemented, Hotelplan’s 60 support agents will support the work of 2,500 employees in 1,600 workplaces through a central service desk.

More speed and transparency 

The travel market is constantly on the move – efficient IT and greater agility in the delivery of new software and business services are key competitive factors across the industry. The timely solution of support requests, management of software updates, and monitoring of service quality are high priorities for Hotelplan Group to enable employees to use the existing technology as efficiently as possible 

The company was, therefore, looking for a suitable service management solution. The IT department wanted to provide its internal service customers and the service desk with a moderneasy-to-use front-end. In the selection process, Efecte was able to prevail against competition due to its platform strategy and ease-of-use. 

As a first step, the tour operator will use Efecte for managing incidents, changes, and IT assetsIt plans to set up its own Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with EfecteInterfaces to Jira and CA Spectrum Enterprise Manager will also be created. This makes it easy to exchange the data of the existing solutions with Efecte, to present data clearly in a central dashboard, and to report to management. Executives, service managers, and IT staff will be able to easily measure service quality and ensure and monitor compliance with service level agreements and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
